Mykola Molchan

was born on 1976 in Lviv.

Education:

1991 – 1995 – Uzhgorod College of Applied Art named after А.Erdelli.
1996 – 2002 – Lviv National Academy of Arts, Department of Monumental Painting.
2002 – 2004 – Lviv National Academy of Arts, Master’s Degree Program.
2003 – 2005 – Lecturer in Drawing at the Lviv College of Decorative and Applied Art named after I. Trush.
2004 – 2007 – Lecturer in Drawing, Department of  of Graphic Design.
Since 2004 – Lecturer of Surface Anatomy, Department of Drawing, Lviv National Academy of Arts.

The art.

Artistic priorities:

Art, which is based on a person. It differs from anthropocentrism for the Man is a controversial creature. Unfortunately the man is not always the center or the highest order of the Universe.

Apart from the philosophical side, a special attention is given to how the human body plastic can give an impulse to the creation of architecture.

Major creative works:

2000 – personal exhibition of portraits. «Yarovit» Lviv.
2002 – Diploma project “The concept of polychromy of the Contemporary Art Center”.
2002-2004 – Master’s Degree project «Architectonics as an artistic principle of constructive perfection of compositions».
2004 – the set design for the musical comedy "The Duenna". Lviv Regional Drama Theater named after Y. Drogobych.
2005 – the set design for the performance "After Two Hares"
2008 – «The Heart». Architecture project.
2009-2010 – «The Last Supper». Painting.
