Danylo Turetskyy

was born on August 17, 1978 in Lviv, Ukraine.


1993-1997 - Lviv College of Decorative and Applied Art named after I. Trush, Department of  Painting.

1997-2003 - Lviv National Academy of Arts, Department of Sacral Art.

Since 1997 he has been working in sacral monumental painting.

Personal interests:

Architecture, minimalism.

Artistic priorities:

As for me, quality criterion is crucial in the perception and understanding of contemporary art. That is why I do not accept such characteristics as "faster, more, higher".

Major creative works:

1998 - "Abraham's Sacrifice".

2000 – St. Elias Church, Brempton, Ontario, Canada.

2002 - St. Joseph Church, The Sisters of Mercy of St. Vincent, Lviv.

2004 – The Cathedral of the Assumption of the Holy Virgin, Mukachevo.

2006 - The Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin, Lviv.

2007 – The Church of the Nativity of the Holy Virgin, Lviv.

2009 - The iconostasis  for the Church of the Protection of the Holy Virgin, Lviv.

About me:

The life of an artist is always more interesting than his works.

For me the creative achievements are not the purpose of my life, but the process of research, thought is for me far more interesting.
