There is a concept of fantastic time-turners in the literature. These small devices are used for time travel: you can go back in time to fix something in the past. In fact, each of us needs such device, but you have to be extremely cautious as using it can cause a butterfly effect. And even when moving from one point to another due to carelessly cast spells, you can be “halved”. That is when some parts of the body remain at the starting point of space, while the rest have already moved to their destination.

Bohdan Kukharskyy constantly returns to the basics - the origins of space and time. His infinite pendulums oscillate as embodiment of time and continuous conversion of energy. The artist uses again simple geometric shapes as pictographic symbols of the basics: favorite circles as models of infinite flow from one to another without the beginning and without the end. Since Bohdan creates interactive kinetic sculptures, you can also participate in moving through and space, using the artist time-turners and immersing in the world of his magic. In the reality created by him, it is possible to grind time with millstones. You will find out that despite their apparent massiveness, they rotate quite easily. Or maybe, grinding pieces of time again and again, they help us move to another way of existence - something like the reality of dreams? The traditional heads created by Bohdan, stand motionless, being ‘halved’ from their bodies. Now they are rooted to the spot in the endless contemplation. However, some head is still flying like a comet, pulling a train of wire lace. Bizarre opaque surfaces are glowing, covered with strange spikes. Probably, these are some pieces of skin of prehistoric animals. Having visited the exhibition of Bohdan Kukharskyy, you can find your personal time- turners, communicate with the heads, and maybe with God in you (as this is the space of Ikonart), grind some time and capture as a souvenir a piece of fossilized skin of a prehistoric animal. Materials - concrete, metal, wood, resin, mat fabric (sacking).
You can visit the exhibition from June 12 until June 30 2020 in Contemporary sacred art gallery \"ICONART\" at 26 Virmenska Str., Lviv, Ukraine from 1 pm - 5 pm every day except Monday.
