February 14 - March 14, in Lviv, 10 Ruska Str. the exhibition \"Between the Nativity and the Resurrection. Ivanka Krypyakevych-Dymyd. Icon and Around It” was held.
The exhibition exposed the icon of the Nativity and icons on glass reflecting the theological and iconographic combination of the Nativity and the Resurrection themes. Apart from the icons, the process of their creation was also presented - from the concept and to the final implementation.
Ivanka Krypyakevych-Dymyd is one of the leading Lviv artists in the field of sacral art. Her icons were exhibited at numerous exhibitions (the latest noteworthy events were the exhibition in the National Museum in 2007 and last year\'s exhibition (jointly with the Studio “The Heaven on the Earth\") in the Antoniy Petrushevych Museum of Sacral Art). Ivanka Krypyakevych-Dymyd’s creative works can also be seen in many churches of the city. Her painting style combines a deep understanding of the Byzantine and Ancient Ruthenian tradition with a live interest in folk painting and modernist art searches of the twentieth century.
